Just yesterday I saw the first WordAd on my blog. Being approved for this program was a surprise since I haven’t acquired a zillion visitors. But there it was! I clicked on the little video and the first reaction was: ” Oh, very cool” Later I went back several times seeing a different ad each visit. I took some time pondering whether or not agreeing to this program would result in followers dropping off. The last thing I wanted to do was lose friends because of a bad decision.
Yes, You do receive compensation, how much depends on your visitors clicking on the videos. I don’t think that anything approaching a fortune is involved but something for a starving artist – well almost – would certainly be welcome! Your blog does have to meet certain criteria to be considered so when I was accepted a little wave of pride did sweep over me. However, I have invested umpteen hours of my time, sharing artwork and closely held true stories. Not to mention hours every day reading,responding, and connecting with new-found friends. I treasure this exchange and value their blogs almost as much as my own.
Right now after a very short time here is how I feel about WordAds: So far the ads are either funny, informative, or sweet but always very tastefully done. I kind of like them! One thing bothers me: Even though the ads are small and you have the option of clicking or not they are positioned just above the like button. YIKES! Please remember that pushing that button means that you are approving the post, not necessarily the ad. Please DO push the button if you like the story or the artwork.
The jury is out and you are that jury. I can instantly opt out of this program and will if it has a negative effect on visitors. So, please give me your vote. I promise to respond to every comment or question and for goodness sake hit that like button only if you DO.

What’s funny though is that once I click into your actual post, the ad disappears (as opposed to viewing your post from your home page). Is that supposed to happen? Anyways, I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of ads because to me, they’re just a visual distraction. But I can always ignore it and it’s not like it’s obnoxiously flashing in my face every other second so I say if you’re fine with them, then we’re good. 🙂
I have no idea about the ad disappearing and will check that out . It’s all pretty new to me but so far all votes are positive. I will count yours that way even though you have reservations as long as they are not offensive and would keep you from following. Looks like you might have found a way around it! Ha, ha. lol
It even changes…first it was about weight loss and now its about Clarizen. It doesn’t bother me at all, I even watched the weight loss video 🙂
Oh, I am so glad. I think that they are very well done and have even sent some to Face Book and Twitter. The feedback has been 100% for them. Thank you for voting. I am keeping track of the voting myself because I don’t like the little vote thingy. Some people will comment and not hit it but your vote has been counted and I thank you!

I put it up and looked at it and it looked lame. Besides some people liking and commenting will not bother to hit it. Good news is that it’s just as easy to take off as to put on. Word press rocks!

I did like the word adds. I just wanted you to make up your mind, because i don’t know anything about it. I do think its a good thing though. Love to you my sister. I will get back to your new blog tomorrow. I like to have a lot of time to read and reply, and i have not been on the computer in the last three days. LOVE
It’s not a problem. I don’t go on Face Book very often either and I am sure I miss a lot of your comments. I am putting another one up tomorrow: It is I Promised you continued But if you get time read Winter Grown Living Room Tomatoes. It’s kind of fun.
